History Writ Large
Dansville Schools earmarked funds to create a 16'x4' mural of the school's 180 year history. The project started with a pile of scanned photos in need of color correction and touch up, along with a few articles provided by the school. With just the provided materials, a significant amount of blank space early in the timeline
I scoured additional material from the Internet Archive to round out the timeline (oddly, some of which was archived by the British National Library). Photos and text, including the gray illustration in the background, were taken from History of Ingham and Eaton Counties Michigan. The scans from 1847 and 1869 were upscaled and retouched, so to be legible at full size.
