D&D - IN SPACE
Client Cam Conroy is planning to produce an actual play Dungeons & Dragons-like podcast set in space, starring the characters Six, Eldrin, and Nimrod. The art was to be bright and cartoony, and needed to fit social media banners and album art.
The client provided reference photos of the characters, as well as the wonderful sketch you can see in the gallery below. I love to get rough sketches like this! I think about Rian Johnson's doodle of the knife display for Knives Out - it doesn't have to be perfect to communicate what the client is thinking!
We went through a few iterations, trying to narrow in on the scale and position of the characters. I also provided a few logo options, some with a stronger fantasy feel, others with a more modern or even spacy feel. The challenge was creating a logo that felt balanced and could be recognizable at a small size, with a long title.
