A Holiday Wrapped Up
Christmas gift time at Kingscott is one of the few times I was able to pull out all of the stops and make something buck wild. The marketing department (of two) decided to put client gift funds to buying Empowerment coats and gifting them to communities around the different offices. The actual gift to clients was a smaller affair, a few treats and a snowcap, so I wanted to make sure the gift was really memorable.
The gift package included a multi-page publication, where I illustrated and designed the cover and layouts, and wrote a few of the articles. The real chef kiss of the package was designing the card to look and fold in the same way as the Empowerment coats. The coat card would wrap around the publication, and would unfold to a personalized greeting and a label notifying the giftee where their coat went. I hand cut, scored, and folded all 200+ coat cards, and it was worth every second.
