For the Marks, by the Marks

Most of the logo designs I'm asked to do are meant to be subtle, sleek, and elegant. For my client Garak, I was finally able to rip off the limiters and create something truly unhinged and just over the top. She was starting a commentary podcast about the Attitude Era of wrestling, the ups and downs, and how much Vince McMahon is a monster.

The design is modeled after wrestling belts in and a little before that era, with specific attention to the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Wrestling Championship belt. The client wanted to the belt to be very and deliberately gay, to stand out from other wrestling podcasts. Belt elements include imagery important to the client. The center has a vectorized redraw of her portrait, which was drawn by her kid.

The logo set also includes a MNFF version of the WWF lozenge found on the belts, to be used on album art and other places where the full logo would be too hard to read.
