Attractive Site Plans
Clients at Kingscott often fundraised for capital improvements, and needed nice images to sell the concept to investors and voters. Kingscott, at the time, did not have a robust 3D imaging department, so turned to more semi-traditional and faster methods of creating attractive campaign imagery.
In the case of Thornapple-Kellogg, the civil engineering department exported a rough CAD document and sent it over to me. I reconstructed the image in Illustrator, so the final graphic could be used at handout size as well as 40"x60" boards.
The other two site plans were sketches made on onion skin by architect Dan DeReemer. Documents were scanned, retouched, and then painted in Photoshop, mimicking the effect of traditional architectural watercolors.
